Cost-Effective Planning
Smart Planning That Protects Your Budget and Your Timeline
Moving or installing a commercial storage system is a significant investment, and the difference between a smooth transition and a costly one usually comes down to planning. American Erecting has been doing this work since 1976, and we've learned that thorough upfront planning pays for itself many times over.
Our planning process is built around two goals: maximizing the value of what you already have and making sure what goes in next works better than what came before. Every project includes an inventory and condition assessment of existing systems, a new floor plan tailored to the destination facility, identification of any code compliance or structural requirements at the new site, and a phased implementation schedule designed to minimize downtime throughout the move.
Relocation Planning
When shelving and racking systems move to a new location, the plan matters as much as the crew. We assess your existing equipment to determine what's worth relocating, what needs to be supplemented or replaced, and exactly how the new layout should be configured for your new space.
New Installation Planning
For new installations, we work from your floor plan — or develop one with you — to map out the most efficient use of available space. We account for traffic flow, load capacity, building code requirements, and future expansion before a single component is ordered.
Budget-Conscious by Design
We don't push new equipment when existing equipment will perform. Our goal is to give you the most cost-effective solution available, which sometimes means reusing 80% of what you have and replacing only what's worn or insufficient. We'll be straight with you about what makes sense.
